This is where we chose to set up our olive mill.
In 2014 in Krestena, in the heart of the oil-producing region with the protected designation of origin (PDO) “OLYMPIA”, our company “KLADEOS” OLIVE MILLS established a vertically integrated olive oil plant in modern facilities on a total area of 1,200sq.m .
In western Peloponnese, in the beautiful valley of the river Alpheus, lies Olympia, a “World Heritage Site” (UNESCO, 1989) that was established as the most important religious and sports center of the country. In this universal place, the Olympic Games were born, an institution that has been bringing Greece high prestige and great glamour since ancient times and were held every four years to honor Zeus.
On the foothills of the verdant Mount Kronios, at the confluence of the Alpheios and Kladeos Rivers, lies the site of the “Sacred Altis”, where Hercules offered the Greeks a wild olive tree as a gift.
Krestena is situated in the low hills on the roadway that connects Ancient Olympia with the coastal region of Kaiaphas and Mount Lapithas.
